We worked closely with the Blue Sprout team and were asked to be one of its co-founders. We were lead architect, interior designer, and shop layout designers.

This large signage was one of the first things we made after the exterior work of the building was done, like putting in new doors and windows.

We added a second floor loft space in each unit and kept the co-working facility large, bright and open.

The interior build out begins. Walls go up for the live work units.

The live work layout gives a large exterior facing door to each tenant. A coveted design for a commercial building.

We designed worktables for collaboration, designed specifically for this new incubator space.

“BlueSprout is an effort to cultivate local technology and fabrication talent by providing investment capital, mentorships, and leasable spaces to select startup companies. Although BlueSprout is open to helping software startups as well, its co-founders see their company mainly as an incubator for hardware and fabrication — one of the few spaces in the Bay Area that would prototype and manufacture small lines of products, visually stunning murals and custom-designed wall paintings done by local artists.”

【ABOUT】

BlueSprout was an Oakland-based hardware incubator and 'maker campus' incorporating 20,000 square feet of work/live units, industrial co-working, and onsite hardware manufacturing facility. This East Bay Express article featured the startup. Aimed to be a 'graduation space' for businesses that dealt with physical goods and had outgrown their garages or Techshop, it was to support hardware startups, consumer and bespoke products, and small-scale light manufacturing.
